Little Waltham Primary School

Welcome

A message from Mr Stephen Saunders, Headteacher

Welcome to Little Waltham C.E.V.A. Primary School - where every child is nurtured, inspired, and challenged to reach their full potential. Guided by our strong Christian ethos and core values, we are dedicated to shaping confident, compassionate individuals who are prepared for the future.

Rooted in the belief that we are strongest when we work together, our vision is inspired by 1 Corinthians 12:14: “For the body is not one member, but many.” At Little Waltham, we build a community where staff, pupils, and parents collaborate to create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.

We are committed to creating a school culture where every individual feels valued and empowered to contribute positively. By working together in unity, we enable our pupils to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually, equipping them to make meaningful contributions to society.

Living Our Vision

At Little Waltham, our vision comes to life through the shared commitment of pupils, staff, and parents. Pupils grow in confidence, take responsibility for their learning, and demonstrate integrity and respect for others. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to create a rich and engaging curriculum, ensuring each child’s well-being and a lifelong love of learning. Parents play a crucial role as partners in education, supporting their children's growth and reinforcing a strong moral foundation.

A Curriculum for Excellence

Our broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum is designed to equip pupils with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. We enrich learning through events such as class assemblies, speech competitions, and leadership opportunities, ensuring that all children experience success across a range of disciplines.

Academic excellence is at the heart of our school. We are incredibly proud of our pupils’ achievements, which reflect our high expectations, dedicated teaching, and commitment to learning.

Reading is a cornerstone of our curriculum, as we believe it opens doors to knowledge and opportunity.

Worship and Reflection

As a Church of England school, our daily worship, inspired by John 10:10 – “life in all its fullness”, provides a time for spiritual growth and reflection. Through prayer and collective worship, pupils develop a strong moral compass, helping them to make thoughtful and compassionate choices in their daily lives.

A Community That Cares

Little Waltham is more than a school—it is a family. We take pride in creating a nurturing and aspirational environment where each child is known, valued, and encouraged to thrive. Our strong sense of community is reflected in events such as Remembrance Day, Christmas celebrations, and Harvest Festival, strengthen our pupils’ understanding of service, gratitude, and belonging.

Our focus remains on continuous growth, ensuring every child receives an enriching and rewarding education. With high expectations and a commitment to excellence, we will continue to inspire and support our pupils to reach their full potential.

I look forward to working in partnership with you all.
